WEBLEY SENIOR AIR PISTOL IN .177 CAL. This one is believed to have been manufactured in the mid-1930's by BSA given it's low serial number, being number 168. They're sought after by collectors and this is certainly the first one that's come up for sale in some time, having become available as one of many firearms that come from a deceased estate. This one still works and shoots remarkably well for an air-pistol of some 95 years of age! New they reportedly pushed a projectile at up to 360fps, our chrony registered fps consistently around the 325fps mark, lowest of 313fps and highest of 340fps. So it's pretty good all things considered. Build quality was and still is one it's greatest strengths, production of them was ceased during the second world war but resumed again following the war and continued right up until 1960. Even decades after the last Senior rolled off the production line, its reputation endures. It remains a fine shooter, a display-worthy collectible, and a tangible link to a golden era of British gun-making.
