S/42 1937 manufactured by Oberndorf Mauser! This is not a RC k98! Doesn’t have any import marks! It should be a US GI brought back or kept by German veteran after WW2. All number match EXCEPT the bolt. Bolt parts complete match itself with number 5341, which is not far away from rifle’s serial number 5167. All metal parts do match even the stock matches the number. The whole condition in very good condition considering it’s already 85 years old. Bore rates 8/10 with NO rust or pit AT ALL. Crown still tight and it shoots really well! It groups 3 inches at 100M. I only shot it less than 50 rounds in my 4 years of ownership. Furniture is with correct wulnut and also in great condition with minor use marks. No big dents or crack AT ALL! It’s harder to find such a good condition original , Non-RC, Kar98K nowadays.
