Starting life as a Enfield MLE1 1897 it was issued out to solider by the initials J.H.B, with his location of N. Africa 1900. When the firearm was release from service, it ended up in the hands of Harry Motton, a gunsmith and accomplished rifle competitor based in Sydney; changed the barrel and cleaned up the action to customize the firearm during the 1920's. These select rifles became known as "Motty Special" which is stamped on the barrel. The firearm does have a dark bore, with the rifling still in fair shape. During some stage of its life, a repair has been made to the wrist stock, evident because of difference of timber colours. Due to length restrictions, we cannot post this firearm. Local pickup only.
