With a 5.5'' barrel this is completely club & range legal & with the adjustable rear sights, this would be an excellent choice for competitive pistol shooting. High Standard target pistols were manufactured in a variety of models in .22 Short & .22 LR chamberings for use in competition. A significant selling point was the similarity in grip angle & manual safety location to the M1911A1 series, a pistol common in service pistol competition. Manufactured from 1926 until 2018, High Standards are generally regarded as a classic .22 target pistol & were common in national-level NRA Bullseye match shooting. The HS barrels were excellent & Don Nygord competed with a customized High Standard 'Sport King' in the 1995 Pan Am Games using the factory barrel to take Silver in Standard Pistol class.
