Like all X-Bolt 2 rifles, the Hunter Composite Stainless is built on a new receiver design with additional bolt guidance surface for smooth, fast cycling. Stainless steel construction minimizes the corrosive effects of weather. The spiral fluted bolt shaves weight and includes a revised handle and knob shape for easier manipulation. The bolt assembly is treated with a silver nitride finish that is extremely resistant to corrosion. A lightweight, stainless steel sporter contour barrel offers a great blend of accuracy and weight savings. The muzzle is threaded M13x0.75 to accept the included stainless steel radial muzzle brake, thread protector cap, or install an optional Browning Recoil Hawg Sporter muzzle brake for extra reduction in recoil. The action is bedded and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.
